____A number of months ago someone posted a message that explained
how to pull your AOL e-mail using your internet access account.
I printed the message and deleted it like a dummy.....and now I can't
find it anywhere.
Does anyone remember how to do this.
If now, what strategies are people using to pull the names from your
aol address so you don't have to respond to each one individually.
I'd like to be able to pull the messages I get from bulk e-mailers
and counter send them info as efficiently as possible.
thanks - kate

Kate, that conversation was regarding
"Bring Your Own Access"
which is a program by which you can "back door" AOL's proprietary
content through your own ISP dial-up.
However, you STILL have to "log in" to AOL thru the "back door" of
your ISP to get your email, as I understand it.
To be able to pull down AOL email from an ISP account, AOL would have
to assign individual POP accounts like a regular ISP and they simply
don't do that at this time.
If anyone has any other insights, please free to share them and for
Kate's sake, someone may wish to post how to go about "bringing your
own access" although I understand that AOL has such instructions in
the Members area of AOL or thereabouts.
FYI!
Keep up the GREAT WORK, EVERYBODY!<g>
